Trend Micro is delivering its “Worry-Free” promise of safer, smarter, simpler security through a new subscription-based, hosted service solution that allows small businesses to be always connected, always protected. With the introduction of the new Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Services, small businesses are relieved of server-management burdens and time-consuming updates, yet still have easy control through its Web-based console that lets them manage and monitor their computers, even those that are unconnected to the network.

The new Services are part of both the Trend Micro Worry-Free family, and its hosted security portfolio, giving channel partners breadth and depth of solutions for their customers. They are designed to help alleviate some of the cost, margin and product-reliability challenges channel partners face, especially in tough economic times.

“The troubling economy has affected everyone, including our channel partners. Trend Micro’s commitment to enabling channel-success is recognized throughout the industry and we designed Worry-Free Business Security Services for stronger partner-profitability,” said Greg Boyle, Global Product Marketing Manager – Worry-Free Business Security Services, Trend Micro. “Worry-Free Business Security Services locks in success for both channel and customer. Channel partners gain increased margin and closer customer relationships. Customers get superior threat protection against the latest threats.”

“Worry-Free Business Security Services sets up and installs in three easy steps so that a partner’s cost of sale dramatically reduce. As a hosted solution, and through the benefits of Trend Micro Worry-Free Remote Manager, partners have the ability to provide on-going services at zero cost for multiple customers from one interface. The roll out of the new offerings further reiterates our commitment to our channel partners,” commented Amit Nath, Country Manager, India & SAARC, Trend Micro.

Trend Micro Ramps up Protection for Small Business with Mobile Workforces:
With mobile threats on the rise and many small businesses struggling to ensure computers and laptops coming in and out of the network are fully protected, Trend Micro also added extra protection against Internet threats for its growing mobile and telecommuting workers: The USB Device Threat Prevention feature blocks threats whenever USB drives are used; the Wireless Network Prevention feature protects users against potential hackers while accessing an unknown wireless network.

Worry-Free Business Security Services has a central, Web-based console that’s hosted by Trend Micro so small business customers can monitor and manage their desktop, laptop and server security from anywhere.
